Floods in Spain cause death and devastation

FEyelash flooding devastated parts of southern Spain, killing at least 95 people as several months' worth of rainfall fell in just a few hours. The area around Valencia was hardest hit, with at least 92 deaths. There were widespread allegations that the country's civil protection authorities were too slow to issue warnings, which might have allowed people to get off the roads or seek higher ground. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez declared three days of national mourning. A seasonal cause is believed to be responsible for the extreme downpour Gotta fria or “cold drop,” when cold air meets warmer air from the Mediterranean, causing storms. But global warming has caused clouds to carry more moisture.
