Yuki Kawamura moment in Grizzlies game goes viral

Memphis Grizzlies guard Yuki Kawamura is already a fan favorite. Kawamura received a two-way contract after spending the preseason on an Exhibit 10 deal and appeared in three games at the NBA level this season. Although he has yet to score his first NBA points and missed all three of his field goal attempts, Kawamura received strong reactions from the crowd every time he checked into a game.

Kawamura is a superstar in Japan and has a large fan base that is now following his career in the NBA. The 5-foot-10 guard recently had a special moment with Grizzlies fans when they shouted for him to come into the game against the Orlando Magic.

As the Grizzlies were on their way to a win, fans in FedExForum began chanting, “We want Yuki.”

Head coach Taylor Jenkins brought the 23-year-old guard into the game, which was met with loud applause from the fans in attendance.

The moment went viral, garnering over 7.3 million views on Bleacher Report's Instagram post. As mentioned, Kawamura has a large fan base and many of his NBA moments have gone viral online.
