Heidi Klum reveals her 2024 Halloween costume: ET in drag

Heidi Klum's latest Halloween costume is finally revealed!

Klum was unrecognizable as ET in Steven Spielberg's 1982 film ET the alienin the scene where he wears a hat, wig and skirt while dressing up as young Drew Barrymore's character Gertie. Klum's husband Tom Kaulitz was without the clothes, according to ET. What made things particularly disturbing was that their eyes peeked out from the creatures' necks.

The America's Got Talent The judge is known for her love of spooky holidays. She regularly hosts a star-studded party in an elaborate costume. Over the last decade she has dressed up as a peacock, a worm and Fiona Shrek.

Like every year, the supermodel teased fans with sneak peeks of her look throughout the day. In her first post, she said her costume “took a year” to make.

One showed Kaulitz putting make-up on his face. She captioned it: “He's such a good sport.”

In the others, Klum flashed roughly textured skin and evoked thoughts of a dinosaur. Her team also noted that her 2024 costume was her “least comfortable” yet. She even had to remove her long fingernails.

Klum wasn't the only celebrity to wear an elaborate ET costume this year, as singer and actress Janelle Monáe also dressed up as a deeply disturbing replica of the beloved alien for her appearance The Jennifer Hudson Show Wednesday and in a photo series on her Instagram account.

Although Klum's costume was impressive as always, she was afraid to take it off.

“I always get nervous,” Klum told PEOPLE this week about her Halloween look. “Because there is no real test. For example, I can't do a proper fitting before I sit in it. Because I won’t know until the next day whether it works.” [of]. And then, you know, something happens and I'm like, 'Oh God.'”

Klum cited dressing up as an apple in 2006 as one of the times her costume didn't work. Seal, who was her husband at the time, called himself Eve.

“Because I was nine months pregnant and I wanted to make sure nothing could happen to the baby or something like that,” she explained her decision. “So I was thinking about being this Big Apple, but then we forgot how do I get to the party?”

Your team did it.

“See, I couldn’t fit anything in, so I couldn’t get through normal car doors,” Klum said. “So they had to get me a convertible at the last minute so I could even get in the car and drive there.”

Planning for next year's costume will begin immediately, Klum told the Associated Press on Wednesday.

“It always has to be different,” said Klum. “Completely different.”
