Is Kawhi Leonard playing tonight? Injury report for Clippers vs. Suns

The LA Clippers will return to the court for the second straight season to take on the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night. After a brutal loss to an inferior Trail Blazers team on Wednesday, the Clippers are still looking for their first home win at the Intuit Dome and will need to be in top form to have a chance of dethroning the Phoenix Suns.

This will be the second time in eight nights that LA will face Phoenix in the friendly setting of the Intuit Dome. On October 23, the Clippers opened their regular season against the Suns, losing narrowly in overtime. The fan base is obviously desperate for the team to win a home game to get the upset out of it, but Phoenix won't be a walk in the park.

In their last game against the Suns, the Clippers surprised everyone by leading for most of the second half before the visitors got back into the game. Since then, Phoenix suffered a narrow loss on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers before picking up home wins against the Dallas Mavericks and Lakers. The Clippers need Kawhi Leonard on Thursday to have the best chance of picking up their first win at the Intuit Dome.

After not playing the entire preseason or regular season, Clipper Nation is eagerly awaiting the return of Kawhi Leonard. The latest update provided to the fan base was provided by Ty Lue on Tuesday. He confirmed that Leonard would miss the next two games but gave no further details beyond that.

Of course, that means Kawhi's status has been confirmed as OUT for both consecutive Trail Blazers-Suns home games. Beyond Thursday evening, there was speculation that Leonard would be out for several weeks, so he'll likely be out at least early to mid-November.

As mentioned, Kawhi Leonard (knee) is out for LA against Phoenix. Also confirmed are Mo Bamba (knee) and PJ Tucker (not with the team). The Clippers are still looking for suitors who might be interested in acquiring Tucker as part of a potential deal.

Josh Okogie (hamstring injury) is out for the Suns. Bradley Beal (elbow) is questionable. Beal missed Phoenix's Saturday game against Dallas but was able to get fit for Monday's game against the Lakers.
