Imagine it… It's 2004, Mountain Dew and Doritos are the must-have snacks and the sequel to the hit game from 2001 Halo: Combat Evolved is on your Xbox and ready to use.

Twenty Years ago the gaming world was introduced Halo 2, and things were never the same. The multiplayer experience forged friendships, made online gaming mainstream, took MLG to new levels, and was a true catalyst for the early gaming and online eras.

With Operation: Great Journey releasing on November 5th, we wanted to celebrate this iconic milestone by bringing this Halo 2 celebrations too Halo Infinite. Here are the playlists that will be available next week…

DELTA ARENA

Delta Arena is a playlist designed to embody the spirit of the gameplay you experienced in 2004. Think of it as a modern take on the old locations you remember from days gone by.

Delta Arena modes feature the following:

  • No sprint
  • No climbing
  • Increased jump height
  • Collision with a friendly player

You'll play a mix of Slayer, Oddball, Capture the Flag and King of the Hill on some maps that look very familiar:

It's time to party like it's 2024!

FIREFIGHTING THIRD PARTY

halo has been a first-person shooter since its release in 2001 (apart from some gameplay elements like driving, operating turrets, etc., of course), but has dabbled in third-person action since the MacWorld era. As a result, players have often dreamed about it halo would look from a different angle. With the introduction of Third-Person Firefight, this dream finally becomes a reality!

You will be able to see it soon Halo Infinite Experience a firefight from a completely new perspective. Fight around the hill on your favorite Firefight: King of the Hill map and mode combination, admiring what your enemies look like from a distance (or around the corner) while also seeing how stylish you are. It will be the first halo Matchmaking history.

When you start, you play Firefight: King of the Hill on Normal difficulty, followed later by Heroic and Legendary difficulty. This comes at the start:

  • Fiestafight: King of the Hill
  • Firefight: King of the Hill
  • Gruntpocalypse: King of the Hill
  • Gruntpocalypse Fiesta: King of the Hill

RANKINGS UPDATE

There are also some updates to the ranked experience with Operation: Great Journey in the form of two new map expansions.

Fortress is a brand new symmetrical map design that plays CTF and all variants of Slayer (including Tactics and Snipers). Players can look forward to fast-paced action with thrilling moments offered by dual sniper combat, overshield and more. It's a beautiful map with a unique aesthetic that makes players want to take a moment to enjoy the view.

Inquisitor is a remake of one of them haloThe most famous cards –Halo 2's amidships. You will be transported back in time as you immerse yourself in a fantastic game. This card has proven itself. Inquisitor also plays at a fast pace in CTF and Slayer (Tactical and Snipers included). Be ready as soon as you appear – the action is hot!
