Pedestrian killed in MAX line accident

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a MAX line, Portland Fire & Rescue said.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., PF&R was called to the highway near North Church Avenue on reports of a collision between a MAX line and a person.

When they arrived, officers learned that the person had died in the accident.

TriMet said the orange and yellow MAX lines are disrupted due to the crash. Buses serve stops between North Prescott Street and North Lombard Transit Center.
