The election is just a few days away, and it's very busy here in Pittsburgh with candidates and surrogates visiting the region several times a week.

Since June, Payday has written 47 articles and produced 13 videos on the election. We've covered stories that most publications have ignored, like the Boeing strike and how the Harris Walz campaign has gained momentum among union members in western PA

We still have a few more articles and videos to create. We need your support to complete the final week of the election.

Donate today to help us cover the final days of the campaign.

Payday has been instrumental in inspiring activists to keep fighting in these final days of the campaign.

We know that union activists are texting our stories to other activists, neighbors, and family members. At a time when people are losing trust in social media companies and logging off from them, our readers forward our articles to or text people who trust them, and interpersonal trust is important in the age of disinformation .

In addition to our phenomenal forward rate, we have already begun to significantly impact the national conversation. NPR's This American life has asked me to serve as an editorial consultant for union coverage in the 2024 elections.

Revista Forum, the Brazilian equivalent of Newsweek, has also asked Payday to partner to cover them. Brazilian cameraman Fernando Calvacanti even flew in from Brazil to support our reporting.

Revista Forum described Payday as the “epicenter” of the struggle in western Pennsylvania.

Fernando and I reported together in Rio de Janeiro on the murder of Rio city councilor Marielle Franco, one of my fellow students. Now we are fighting fascists in the hills of my home in western Pennsylvania, where my family has been involved in the labor movement for generations.

However, we need your help to make a significant impact. Payday Report has always held the corporate media accountable and forced them to up their game.

The Washington Post praised us in a cover story for being the first labor media company to track the strike wave during the pandemic. esquire called us “invaluable” The New York Times called us a “new energy” release, and filmmaker Boots Riley has repeatedly cited us as one of his inspirations.

Our work with CNN on Western Pennsylvania has already been nominated for an Emmy.

Now we're hoping to make a big impact in Western Pennsylvania because there's something big happening that will impact the entire country and we need your help to cover it.
