Joining “Crime 101” are Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte and Tate Donovan

Amazon Studios feature film “Crime 101” rounds out the cast.

Jennifer Jason Leigh (“Hateful Eight,” “Fargo”), Nick Nolte (“Warrior,” “Graves”), Tate Donovan (“The Holdovers,” “Ghosted”), Babak Tafti (“Billions,” “Superpumped”) , Payman Maadi (“The Night Of,” “The Opponent”), Deborah Hedwall (“Mare of Easttown,” “Homeland”), Devon Bostick (“Oppenheimer,” “Fargo”), Paul Adelstein (“Monsters: The Lyle “) and Erik Menendez Story,” “Agatha All Along”), Drew Powell (“Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” “Unbreakable Boy”) and Matthew Del Negro (“Mayor of Kingstown,” “City on a Hill “) are on board the upcoming crime thriller, which is coming to cinemas.

They join previously announced cast members Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins and Halle Berry. Bart Layton (“American Animals,” “The Imposter”) wrote the screenplay, based on a novella by Don Winslow, and will direct.

According to the logline, Winslow's original story involves a series of high-profile jewelry thefts on the Pacific Coast Highway that have gone unsolved for years, largely because the perpetrator lived by a strict code he calls “Crime 101.” Police attribute the thefts to the Colombian cartels, but Detective Lou Lubesnick has a gut feeling that it's just the work of one man. Now the lone jewel thief is on the hunt for the legendary bottom line, and Lou breaks all of Crime 101's rules.

Producers include Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title, Shane Salerno of The Story Factory, Bart Layton and Dimitri Doganis of RAW, Derrin Schlesinger and Hemsworth and Ben Grayson of Wild State. RAW's Joely Fether will serve as executive producer.
