The Department of Health’s “Fight Flu Round 2” event begins November 7th

JACKSON, Tenn. – If you missed the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department's annual Fight Flu clinic in October, don't worry! “Fight Grippe Round 2” takes place on Thursday, November 7th.

On that day, the health department will provide free flu vaccines to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or while supplies last.

No appointment is required. The health department is located at 804 North Parkway in Jackson.

“It's a really good idea to get vaccinated now because it takes about two weeks after the flu shot to be fully protected from the flu. So by getting vaccinated now, in early November, you'll be ready for Thanksgiving and help prevent the spread of the flu.” “When we start having all these holiday gatherings,” said Ginger Rowsey, public information officer for the Jackson Regional Health Department- Madison County.

All Tennesseans six months and older are eligible to receive the flu vaccine.
