The murder of Preston Lord a year later

QUEEN CREEK, AZ – “Arizona Crime Uncovered” is an expansion of ABC15's series aimed at raising awareness for victims still waiting for justice and providing an in-depth look at cases still ongoing.

Each episode of Arizona Crime Uncovered describes the timeline of the case, the current status of the case and whether help is needed from the community.

Our latest episode looks back at the tragic death of Preston Lord and the changes that have occurred since that day.

Ashley Holden sits down privately with Queen Creek Police Chief Randy Brice to discuss the department's response that evening and the status of the case surrounding Preston's murder one year later.

Preston's murder sparked a movement as the community fought for justice and banded together to raise concerns about teen violence. Dozens of arrests in youth violence cases followed, and the community had important questions for area law enforcement.

A year later, calls for justice continue to ring out across the East Valley. Seven suspects face murder charges, but several have been released on bail amid court disputes, and the fight against teenage violence continues.
