Solana Beach man accused of sexually assaulting 75-year-old 4S Ranch woman – NBC 7 San Diego

A Solana Beach man was jailed for sexually assaulting a 75-year-old woman after forcing his way into her home in the 4S Ranch area, authorities reported Friday.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, officers arrested 52-year-old Tony Choi at his Manzanillo Court residence just after 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

About eight hours earlier, Choi allegedly showed up uninvited at the septuagenarian's home in the 7000 block of Carmel Valley Road near Solterra Vista Parkway and asked her if her dogs needed to be washed, Sgt. Marcello Orsini said.

The two started talking and the woman invited Choi to her apartment, according to sheriff's officials. Once inside, the suspect allegedly began sexually harassing them, Orsini said.

The alleged attack ended when the resident's caretaker entered the room, after which Choi left the house, got into a car parked nearby and drove away.

The suspect was driving the same vehicle that same evening when he came home to find officers waiting to take him into custody, Orsini said.

Choi was booked into a county jail in Vista on suspicion of sexual assault and elder abuse.
