South Range woman is accused of driving under the influence with a child in her car

SOUTH RANGE, Wis. (Northern News Now) – A woman was arrested for driving under the influence with a child in the back seat.

A 34-year-old South Range woman was stopped by a Wisconsin State Trooper Friday night.

It happened near the intersection of County Highway C and Highway A, near Superior Village.

The officer claimed she was showing signs of impairment and that she had an eight-year-old boy in the car.

The officer also claimed she had weed and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

She was arrested and charged with driving with an underage passenger in the vehicle.

The boy was handed over to his father.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for blood tests.
