A judge set cash bail at $1 million.

“This information was not immediately released to the public to protect the integrity of the investigation,” Westminster police said. “After further investigation this week, police learned that Mullins was suspected of a number of crimes.”

The 14-year-old girl reported the suspected kidnapping attempt after the driver of a silver car approached her near W. 125th Avenue and Delaware Street shortly after 7 a.m., police said. This is close to Mountain Range High School and Silver Hills Middle School.

The girl told police the man in the driver's seat threatened her with a gun and told her to get in the car. She said she refused and the man grabbed her backpack before driving off.

The girl made it to school safely and reported the incident, police said.

Denver7 is working to learn more about the charges Mullins is currently facing.

According to court documents, Denver7 learned that Mullins signed a plea agreement pleading guilty to one count of aggravated robbery with a weapon after his arrest in 2019 on kidnapping charges. Mullins was on probation in Westminster at the time of the alleged kidnapping attempt.
