The Hornets' Brandon Miller with a monster dunk left the game shortly after with left hip pain

If the Hornets want to surprise people and make the play-in, Brandon Miller's jump in his second season will be a key factor in how they do that.

It really looks like he's ready to take a leap – this is the best dunk of the NBA's opening week (so far).

Miller scored six points in 11 minutes of play, but spent his non-game time in the tunnel doing stretches. He ultimately had to leave the game because of a sore left hip, the team announced.

Hopefully this proves to be insignificant and doesn't keep him out for future games – both because it's bad for the Hornets and because he's a dynamic player who's fun to watch.
