Two accidents shut down I-69 in Vanderburgh Co.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Emergency responders are on the scene of two crashes along I-69 in Vanderburgh County.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office shared details about the crash on social media around 7:15 a.m

According to VCSO, the accident occurred south of I-64 and resulted in southbound lane closures.

Officials with the Vanderburgh County EMA say a tractor fell into a ditch, causing another accident.

Officials say the road is expected to remain closed for about an hour while emergency crews clean up the scene.

EMA officials say multiple Scott Fire, VCSO deputies and ambulances are on scene.

Only minor injuries were reported.

Emergency crews are asking drivers to avoid the area.
