Bronny James is being hailed for his Lakers cameo after the Toronto crowd chants his name

Ask and you will be met by Bronny James.

Fans at the Lakers' game against the Raptors at Scotia Bank Arena on Friday made it loud and clear to everyone in attendance what they wanted – they erupted in loud cries of “Bronny!” as Austin Reaves prepared for a pair of free throws in the final minute and Los Angeles had a commanding lead.

Lakers coach JJ Redick gave the fans exactly what they wanted by shouting James' name in the closing seconds.

A foul by the Lakers allowed the rookie to get into the game with just 7.1 seconds left before the crowd cheered.

James, who appeared in three games this season, didn't do anything special in the short time he played as the Lakers won 131-125 to move to 4-2 on the young season.

However, he had a big moment on Wednesday night when the Lakers defeated his father LeBron's former team, the Cavaliers.

Bronny James scored the first regular season points of his NBA career with a faded mid-range shot.

The Cleveland crowd, which watched LeBron James play there for 11 seasons and win the 2015-16 NBA championship, erupted when the bucket dropped.

“It was crazy,” Bronny James said. “Much more than I expected for sure. It's all love. It was a beautiful moment. The chants really got me. I was going straight, but I felt it and it felt pretty good, especially from here.”

Bronny and LeBron became the first father-son duo to play together in an NBA game against the Timberwolves on October 23rd.

The younger James, 20, who only played one season at USC, is considered a development project by the Lakers.

The plan is for him to move back and forth between the Lakers' active roster and the G League, which opens its season on November 8th.
