No. 4 Ohio State and No. 3 Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – No. 4 Ohio State vs. No. 3 Penn State. Beaver Stadium is home to one of the most anticipated games in college football this season.

The Buckeyes come into the game looking to erase memories of last month's 1-point loss at Oregon. The Scarlet and Gray were unable to appease the doubters after losing on the road in the Top 4 last week, with an underwhelming performance in a 21-17 win over Nebraska last week at Ohio Stadium.

While the Nittany Lions have yet to lose this season, this game is just as important for Penn State. A loss would make it much more difficult for the Nittany Lions to reach the Big Ten Championship Game in December due to tiebreaker rules.

This is the 32nd consecutive year and eighth consecutive meeting between Ohio State and Penn State, dating back to 2017 when the two teams were ranked. It is also the 12th time that both the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions have been ranked in the top 10. This game will be only the second time the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions have met as top-five teams. The other came in 1996, a 38-7 win by No. 3 Ohio State over No. 4 Penn State at Ohio Stadium.

The 32 consecutive meetings between these two programs are Ohio State's longest active streak playing against one opponent. The teams will play in Columbus next season, but there are no plans to play in the new Big Ten every year after that.
