Weather in Colorado: Storm brings rain and snow showers

Sunday will be a little cooler in the upper 50s. It starts to snow in the mountains on Sunday afternoon. Be prepared for wet roads in the Highlands on Sunday evening and Monday morning. Rain will begin to fall across the Denver metro area starting Sunday evening, with a rain/snow mix in the foothills. Rain will turn to snow across the Front Range on Monday morning. Monday is a first weather alert day, with 1 to 3 inches of snow expected to fall in the Denver metro area. Election Day will be dry with daytime highs in the 50s before our next storm system arrives on Wednesday and temperatures fall into the 30s.
