Person injured in accident involving tree and stop sign in Conway area

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Officials said one person was injured in a crash near Conway on Saturday.

The Horry County Fire Department reported that crews responded to the area of ​​Old Railroad Road and Singing Pines Drive just before 1:40 p.m

According to the agency, the accident involved a single vehicle, as well as a tree and a stop sign. HCFR added that crews conducted “extrication operations” to remove someone from the vehicle.

The injured person was taken to a hospital, but no further information about their condition was provided.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
