Jason Kelce appears to destroy the phone of a man who used a gay slur to describe his brothers Travis and Taylor Swift

Jason Kelce appeared to get into trouble with a college football fan at the Penn State-Ohio State game in Happy Valley on Saturday.

Videos shared on social media and verified by NBC News show Kelce walking outside Penn State's Beaver Stadium with a case of beer in his hand while surrounded by fans.

In the background, a man can be heard yelling at Kelce and then using a homophobic slur to describe his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in reference to Travis Kelce's relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift.

In the videos, Kelce then appears to turn around, grab the man's phone, throw it to the ground, pick it up again and walk away.

Another angle appears to show the man chasing after Kelce and asking him to return his phone.

It was not immediately clear whether the man whose phone was smashed was the same man who shouted the insult. It also wasn't clear if the man was a student at Penn State or Ohio State or if he was just visiting for the game.

Representatives for Kelce did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Penn State also did not immediately respond to an inquiry about whether the man was a student there.

Kelce, who retired from the Philadelphia Eagles at the end of last season, was at the game Saturday on ESPN's “College GameDay.” He participated in a kicking challenge against a Penn State University student for the program.

The former center is enjoying his first season off the field as a commentator for ESPN. The network did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the incident.

Kelce's brother Travis Kelce and Swift have been dating since last summer, when Travis Kelce showed up to the “Eras Tour” in Kansas City with a friendship bracelet and a dream.

Since then, the couple has often been seen supporting each other's careers, with Swift cheering on the Chiefs at home games and Travis Kelce performing at Eras Tour shows around the globe.

Jason Kelce and Swift have also grown closer over the course of their relationship with his brother, hanging out in the box above Arrowhead Stadium during Chiefs games. Kelce and his wife Kylie took two of their three daughters to see Swift's Eras Tour in Miami last month.
