Who could return punts and kickoffs for Anthony Evans in Georgia football?

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Georgia football will not be without punt-and-kick returner Anthony Evans in Saturday's game against Florida.

More than half a dozen players are preparing to take his place.

On punt returns, Southern Cal transfer Michael Jackson, safety Malaki Starks, wide receiver Dominic Lovett and wide receiver Sacovie White appeared to be the players in line. They caught balls from a machine.

Starks served as a punt returner twice in the first quarter.

On kickoffs, wide receiver Dillon Bell, running back Nate Frazier, running back Cash Jones and running back Trevor Etienne caught balls off kicker Charlie Ham's foot.

Evans, who is dealing with an undisclosed injury, is third in the SEC with an 8.4 punt return average and 46 long return average. He also averages 17.5 yards on kickoff returns.

Jackson had 70 return yards on 11 punts for Southern Cal in 2022.
