The Arizona Cardinals have called the New York Giants about Azeez Ojulari

The New York Giants are not expected to be buyers at Tuesday's NFL trade deadline, but they could be sellers if the price is right.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo recently suggested that the Giants general manager would have to be “blown away” by an offer to part ways with two of his top impending free agents, outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari and wide receiver Darius Slayton.

Many teams in need of a wide receiver have likely already made moves in the last few weeks. Buffalo acquired Amari Cooper from Cleveland, Kansas City traded him for DeAndre Hopkins from Tennessee and the Jets finally picked up Davante Adams from Las Vegas.

This week the Ravens acquired Carolina's Diontae Johnson.

Slayton has virtually no teams left that need his services. The Giants presented him. He played every snap in last week's loss to the Steelers on Monday night.

Ojulari, a former 2021 second-rounder who was frequently injured over the last two seasons, has 6.0 sacks this year, once again asserting himself as a top pass rusher.

This hasn't gone unnoticed by the Giants and the rest of the NFL.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports that several teams are looking for an edge rusher, and with Ojulari in the final year of his rookie contract, it's an attractive midseason option.

It is known around the league that the New York Giants, who are in last place in the NFC East, are purchasing young edge rusher Azeez Ojulari. Teams keeping tabs on the 24-year-old include the Falcons, Cardinals and Bengals. The Giants are already paying Brian Burns and spent a top-five pick on Kayvon Thibodeaux. With Ojulari set to hit free agency after the season, GM Joe Schoen is now trying to get something in return for him.

Russini added that the Arizona Cardinals have contacted the Giants about Ojulari.

The Giants (Ojulari) and Titans (Arden Key) have fielded calls from the Cardinals.

One team not listed is the Detroit Lions. They recently waived defensive end Aiden Hutchinson this season, but may be looking for a player who is more comfortable playing with his hand in the dirt.
