While the Florida Gators were losing 34-20 to the Georgia Bulldogs on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday, a different situation appears to have occurred up in the stands.

A viral video posted on X just before 7 p.m. appears to show a fight between police officers and two fans. The 15-second video appears to show one officer repeatedly punching someone as they cover their face and lie on the hallway steps, while another officer appears to repeatedly punch another person further down the hallway several times.

“Why are you hitting him?” Someone can be heard screaming in the video posted by @BarstoolTate on X. As of 11 p.m., the video had 5.9 million views.

FOX 35 cannot independently verify the authenticity of the video.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is conducting an administrative review

In a statement released on Saturday evening

“Administrative reviews of the incidents are underway. Therefore, the authority will not comment until all facts are known and the reviews are completed,” the authority said in a statement.

It is unclear what happened prior to the video clip involving law enforcement. It is also not known what ever happened, whether anyone was detained, arrested or seriously injured.

FOX 35 Orlando reached out to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office late Saturday for more information. FOX 35 also reached out to the University of Florida.
