On TV tonight: The brilliant Anna Maxwell Martin stars in Until I Kill You | television and radio

Until I kill you

Sunday, 9pm, ITV1

Anna Maxwell Martin is at her most compelling in this four-part true crime drama from Nick Stevens (In Plain Sight, The Pembrokeshire Murders). It tells the story of Delia Balmer, a nurse and slightly prickly loner. When she ends her relationship with John Sweeney (Shaun Evans) – in which he almost strangled her – he admits to killing his ex, then ties Delia to a bed for four days before attacking her with an axe. The real Delia, who also wrote a book about her experiences, worked on the script with Stevens, who says he wanted to explore what happens when “someone who is not an easy victim finds themselves in a situation [the UK’s] Legal system”. A fascinating watch. Holly Richardson

David Attenborough is still at it and this time he's narrating a beautiful new seven-part series about the natural world of Asia. But is “mental health” a defense against the killing of a person and possibly the planet? The jury is still out. Ellen E. Jones

A strange story… Sasquatch Sunset. Photo: Bleecker Street

This strange story is reminiscent of the old Disney nature films, in which an animal was followed for over a year and wildly anthropomorphized. But in Nathan and David Zellner's version, the subject is Bigfoot. In the remote forests of North America, a hairy, grunting Sasquatch family (two of which are inexplicably played by Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg) eat leaves, have sex, sniff skunks and make unsuccessful attempts to find more of their own kind. It's often funny, but there's an unexpected pathos in her fragile life. Simon Wardell
