Viral video shows a police officer attacking a Georgia fan in the stands

Football simply means more to fans in the south. It's not just a game, it's a lifestyle. That's why SEC fans, especially Georgia football fans, are the best and most passionate in the country.

But sometimes that passion turns ugly and leads to moments in the stands that shift the focus from the game to the extracurricular activities in the stands. And unfortunately for fans in Georgia and Florida, that's exactly what happened in the Bulldogs' 34-20 win on Saturday.

You might think that fans from both fan bases were caught arguing in the stands, but it was actually fans of both teams who got into a fight with the police.

The following video is going viral on social media and shows a Georgia fan being verbally abused and beaten by a police officer, allegedly over a ticket dispute.

Lastly, we will comment on whether or not the police officer's actions were justified. That's the problem with these social media clips that go viral. You only see part of the incident and not the entire story. Therefore, it is impossible for us to know what actually led to this moment.

But based on the reaction of the blue jersey fan, it looks like it wasn't justified.

Not only did the police crack down on Georgia fans, but a second viral clip is circulating online showing two police officers aggressively hitting two Florida fans even though they were hiding on the ground.

Now things are looking very, very bad for the officials involved.

Both incidents are being investigated by the Jacksonville Sherrif's Office, so we'll have to wait and see if anything comes of it. But these videos are just another reminder of how passionate SEC fans can be and how some people can't handle the heat in a big rivalry game like Florida vs. Georgia.
