Boxing results: O'Shaquie Foster takes back the title, Chantelle Cameron sails, Gabriela Fundora becomes undisputed champion

O'Shaquie Foster regained his WBC junior lightweight title with a split decision victory over Robson Conceicao in a rematch Saturday in Verona, New York.

Foster (23-3, 12 KOs) prevailed with scores of 115-113 and 115-113, with a score of 115-113 for Conceicao.

When they met in July, Conceicao ousted Foster as 130-pound champion with a controversial decision victory.

Cameron is sailing and expects a title shot next

Chantelle Cameron is aiming to be the winner of the rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano later this month after a comfortable unanimous points victory over Patricia Berghult.

Cameron (20-1, 8 KOs), of Northampton, England, defended her interim WBC junior welterweight title for the first time against the 30-year-old Berghult, which keeps her in contention for the next world title. Cameron-Berghult was the co-main event of a fight headlined by junior lightweight Shabaz Masoud's split decision victory over Liam Davies.

The 33-year-old Cameron dominated Berghult on her way to victory with scores of 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92 at the bp Pulse LIVE (formerly known as the NEC Arena) in Birmingham, England. It was Cameron's second win since losing to Taylor almost a year ago and she looks to be in dangerous form for whoever she faces next.

“I think I made a big statement there and I want to try again,” Cameron said. – Nick Parkinson

Fundora becomes the youngest undisputed champion

Gabriela Fundora made history by defeating Gabriela Celeste Alaniz in Las Vegas to become the youngest undisputed boxing champion of all time.

Fundora, 22, scored a seventh-round TKO, adding Alaniz's WBO, WBC and WBA women's flyweight titles to the IBF title she already held. Fundora (15-0, 7 KOs) entered the fight as ESPN's No. 2 ranked flyweight, while Alaniz (15-2, 6 KOs) was ranked No. 1.

The fight was on the main card of an event that culminated in a lightweight bout between Floyd Schofield and Rene Tellez Giron at The Theater at Virgin Hotels.
