Watch Grover Stewart run over an offensive lineman

Indianapolis Colts nose tackle Grover Stewart was in full action for the first touchdown on Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings.

Stewart sacked Vikings center Garrett Bradbury after the snap early in the second quarter and then sacked quarterback Sam Darnold. Kenny Moore II picked up the ball and fired it into the goal from 38 yards for a 7-0 lead.

The referee threw a penalty flag but lifted it. Did Stewart commit a personal foul on Darnold by hitting his head? Don't be surprised if Stewart gets fined for the hit next week.

NBC officiating commentator Terry McAulay said the Colts got away with a 15-yard penalty.

“This is a pretty strong blow to the head from the forearm, hand/wrist of the tackler. … If they had said that and left the flag down, that would certainly be acceptable as a foul for unnecessary roughness.”

Stewart had a sack later in the second quarter, the first multi-sack game of his career.

Here is the piece.
