Zach Edey scores tonight: Grizzlies vs. Jazz stats

Zach Edey, the two-time college basketball player of the year, officially began his NBA career on Wednesday night.

The ninth overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft had a solid preseason: The former Purdue Boilermakers star averaged 12.2 points in 20.2 minutes per game in five preseason contests.

In his first game as a professional, Edey and the Memphis Grizzlies faced a Utah Jazz team that was giving up over 51 points per game a season ago. During the preseason, no NBA team allowed more points than the Jazz. It seemed to be a recipe for Edey's success. But it didn't quite work out that way.
