GOP pollster reveals how this year's election reminds him “so much of 2016.”

Longtime Republican pollster Frank Luntz explained Thursday how the 2024 presidential election reminds him “so much of 2016” as he argued why Donald Trump has the “momentum” over Kamala Harris.

“I think there are a lot of similarities between this campaign and that campaign at the moment. The divisions in the country were significant at the time, people didn't believe Trump had a chance at the time,” Luntz told CNN's Sara Sidner.

“He just kept gaining momentum.”

Sidner pointed out at the start of the post that the GOP pollster had argued that President Joe Biden “may have destroyed” the vice president's chances of victory following his “garbage” comment earlier this week.

“But she also came out and said, ‘No, no, no. “I’m going to give people a seat at the table and not call them an enemy within,” Sidner said, referring to the former president’s alarmist rhetoric toward political enemies.

“Why do you argue that this could be the big problem?”

Luntz later said he didn't know who would win the election, adding that “no one” should call it because it was “way too close to call.”

“However, the momentum is clearly in his favor,” he said of Trump.

“And so every word, every sentence, every misstep, every faux pas matters when the last remaining persuaders make their decision.”

Luntz declared that he “no longer believes in the undecided” before asking a rhetorical question.

“Do you actually vote if you don’t like one of the candidates? Because that is the vast majority of those who can be persuaded,” said Luntz.

He continued: “People who don't like Trump's attitude, don't like his personality, people who are still not sure what Harris is going to do on day one, first week, first month, first year.”
