Puka Nacua of the Rams was sent off for hitting Tyrel Dodson of the Seahawks

Puka Nacua's time on the field ended early Sunday against the Seahawks.

Nacua was ejected in the second quarter of the Rams' game against the Seahawks after striking Seattle linebacker Tyrel Dodson in the final seconds of the second quarter.

The incident occurred after a pass intended for Nacua was intercepted by Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen.

Nacua was then seen getting into a shoving match with Dodson, and then the wide receiver was seen throwing a punch at Dodson, hitting him in the helmet.

The referees noticed the retaliation and Nacua was ejected from the game.

Nacua had one catch for 11 yards before being sent off and was on the field for 26 of the Rams' 30 offensive snaps.

The Seahawks were only down 6-3 at the time of the altercation, which led to Seattle having one last offensive opportunity before halftime.

Geno Smith connected with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a 24-yard touchdown pass that sent the Seahawks into the locker room with a 13-3 halftime lead.

In the end, the Rams won a thriller 26-20 in overtime when Matthew Stafford hit Demarcus Robinson for a walk-off touchdown.

Nacua had missed five weeks of the year with a knee injury and was placed on IR, which he came off in Week 8.

There was some concern about whether Nacua would play this week after he left Thursday's practice with a knee problem.

Nacua injured his knee on the ground but was ultimately cleared to play in this week's game.

The wide receiver is one of the Rams' most important weapons and that was evident in his first game in Week 8, when he had 106 yards on seven catches in the Thursday Night Football showdown with the Vikings.
