FBI warns about fake election security videos

Earlier this weekend, the FBI issued a statement addressing videos “falsely claiming to be from the FBI and related to election security.” That includes a claim that the office has “arrested three affiliated groups committing voter fraud” and a claim about Kamala Harris’ husband.

Disinformation appears to have increased significantly in recent days as the presidential election begins tomorrow. Late last week, the FBI, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said they had tracked down two other Videos refer to “Russian influence actors,” including one that falsely depicts people from Haiti voting illegally in several Georgia counties.

Just a few more days and everything will be fine. Right?

Disney recently launched its own new technology division. The group, called the Office of Technology Enablement, will coordinate the company's research, adoption and use of artificial intelligence, AR and VR technology across Disney divisions. A Disney spokesperson told Engadget that the Office of Technology Enablement will not take over any of the company's existing AI and XR projects. Instead, it will support the other Disney teams, many of which are already working on products that use these technologies.
