The Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen after a 7-2 loss to the Panthers at the start of the season

The New Orleans Saints have fired head coach Dennis Allen after a 2-7 start to his third season in the role, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Monday, according to sources.

Allen's departure came one day after New Orleans' 23-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers, the Saints' seventh straight loss.
