Galaxy S25 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, Exynos 2500 for other models

Samsung Galaxy S25 Leaks: Samsung is preparing to release its Galaxy S25 series in early 2025 and anticipation is building as leaks and rumors emerge. This highly anticipated lineup is expected to introduce significant hardware upgrades, and one of the main topics of discussion is the possible use of two different processors in the models. According to latest reports, Samsung could equip the Galaxy S25 Ultra with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, while the Galaxy S25 and S25+ may come with Samsung's in-house Exynos 2500 chipset.

A report from Hankyung Korea (or The Korea Economic Daily) points out that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset will deliver significant performance improvements and AI-driven features, improving the overall user experience. Samsung has long relied on a mix of Snapdragon and Exynos processors for different regions, but the Galaxy S25 series could see a greater split between models in terms of chipsets.

The Snapdragon-powered Ultra model is expected to compete directly with Apple's A18 Pro chipset, which was recently introduced with the iPhone 16, putting the two tech giants in a race for AI-driven innovation in mobile technology.

Lower models get Exynos 2500

As for the Exynos 2500 chipset, it may not be as common in the Galaxy S25 series as some previous rumors suggested. Instead, Samsung could plan to reserve this processor for its next generation of foldable smartphones.

If true, it would mark a change in strategy from Samsung, as the company has traditionally used Exynos chips in its S-series phones in certain regions. The new direction could highlight Samsung's foldable devices and offer significant hardware differences between the foldable devices and the flagship models.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series: Specifications (expected)

As for the design, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to feature a refreshed, slimmer look with rounded edges and a more refined build. According to reports, the Ultra model will feature a powerful camera with a 200MP main sensor, accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle lens and two telephoto lenses – both 50MP – to enhance the device's photography capabilities.

In addition to the camera improvements, the phone's dimensions are said to be more compact than the Galaxy S24 series. According to rumors, the base model Galaxy S25 measures 146.94 x 70.46 x 7.25 mm, making it thinner than the Galaxy S24, which measures 147 x 70.6 x 7.6 mm. The Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra are also said to be slimmer compared to their S24 counterparts.

While official details have yet to be confirmed by Samsung, leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25 series will bring significant improvements in both design and performance, making it one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of 2025 might.

With potential innovations in computing power and AI capabilities, Samsung appears poised to take on its rivals head-on, promising a flagship experience that could redefine the market.
