Fatal crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Chappaqua, New York is under investigation

The driver was pronounced dead in the single-vehicle crash after the car left the road while traveling south and struck a guardrail, police said on Facebook.

The 8:45 a.m. crash sent one passenger to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The southbound lanes of the parkway were closed in the area for hours as an investigation took place. Police were unable to identify the driver at this time until they notified the family.
