JSO releases body camera video and explains what led to arrests at the Georgia-Florida game during the 5 p.m. press conference

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Monday it plans to notify the public of an investigation into the actions of officers seen beating and arresting fans in viral videos captured at EverBank Stadium during the Georgia football game over the weekend -Florida were recorded.

JSO is scheduled to hold a press conference at 5:00 p.m. and said it will release body-worn camera footage, relevant context and facts about each situation, and provide an update on the status of regulatory reviews.

At least six people face charges after violence broke out at the game.

It's unclear what led to the violence in these cases, but JSO said over the weekend it was reviewing the videos, which quickly spread across social media and beyond. News4JAX has reached out to police reports to learn more about what led to the interactions. However, more details are expected to be revealed during Monday evening's press conference.

JSO said the agency will not comment until all facts are known and reviews are completed.
