Search warrant in Dover leads to drug arrest – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police have arrested a 36-year-old man Samuel Seymour of Dover, Delaware, on drug charges following a search warrant in Dover.

On October 31, 2024, members of the Kent County Drug Unit and the Kent County Governor's Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on Webb Lane in Dover Estates. The search warrant was obtained after a five-month investigation into Seymour and the distribution of illegal narcotics from the residence. During the search warrant, investigators discovered that Seymour was throwing narcotics out the window of the apartment. He was taken into custody without incident.

A search of the residence and Seymour's vehicle resulted in the discovery of the following items:

  • Approximately 862.56 grams of powder cocaine
  • Approximately 31.92 grams of crack cocaine
  • Digital scales
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • $3,930 is suspected drug proceeds

Seymour was arrested and taken to Troop 3 where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned in Justice of the Peace 2 and remanded to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $122,400 bail.

  • Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Level 3 (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Tampering with physical evidence (crime)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 2 counts
