The Netflix documentary leading up to the November 15 fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has revealed some unsavory information.

Tyson, who suffered from an ulcer flare-up that caused the fight to be postponed for three months, gave details of the medical emergency.

According to Tyson, the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion, it started during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on May 26.

“I went to the bathroom and vomited blood,” Tyson says in “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson.” “The next thing I know I’m on the floor. I dumped tar.”

According to Tyson, the cause of the trauma was a 2 1/2-inch bleeding ulcer.

As the three-part documentary shows, he wasn't completely surprised. Episodes 1 and 2 premiere on Thursday.

Speaking about the week and a half before the incident, Tyson said: “I was feeling great and then I suddenly felt tired and explained to my trainer, 'I don't know what's wrong with me.'

Tyson, who was hospitalized after landing at Los Angeles International Airport, said he lost 26 pounds after the ulcer.

“Can you imagine that?” he said.

The weight loss wasn't the only thing he said was troubling.

“I asked the doctor, 'Am I going to die?' Tyson remembers. “And she didn't say no.” However, she said we had options. Then I got nervous.

By the end of July, Tyson was training at full speed, his agent Andrew Ruf told USA TODAY Sports. Tyson has repeatedly said he is in good health.
