Another round of near record-breaking warmth

Monday will be partly sunny, dry and very warm, with highs in the mid to upper 70s. We'll do it again on Tuesday with more sun, fewer clouds and strong south/southwest winds. Lexington's record high will be in the upper 70s both days. The good news is that we have a much-needed round of rain midweek, and we should be able to delay it past Election Day. Expect scattered and variable showers on Wednesday with highs in the low 70s. More active weather is likely this weekend with more seasonal high temperatures in the 60s.
