Patrick Mahomes had his best overall game of the season on Monday Night Football, throwing for 291 yards and three touchdowns in the rain at Arrowhead. He developed an impressive rapport with newly signed DeAndre Hopkins as the pair scored two touchdowns.

In the second half, after throwing a touchdown pass to Samaje Perine, Mahomes appeared to suffer a non-contact injury and had to be taken to the sideline. However, a few minutes later he was spotted jogging on the sideline and stayed in the game, eventually leading two more touchdown drives.

After the game, Mahomes said of his ankle injury: “I decided to run and I saw Samaje (Perine) at the last second. It scared me a bit. … It didn’t end so badly.”
