Dashcam video shows FHP troopers pursuing man accused of crimes in multiple cities and arresting him in Cutler Bay – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

WEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – Dashcam video obtained exclusively by 7News shows Florida Highway Patrol officers pursuing and ultimately arresting a man accused of crimes in multiple cities.

The video shows a wild few hours through Miami-Dade that began on the morning of November 2nd in West Miami-Dade.

According to FHP, 24-year-old Patrick Alzugaray began his crime at 2 a.m. with a robbery at an Orion gas station

Surveillance video shows the suspect holding a gun and demanding money from the cash register.

“Give me everything that’s in the register!” I'm not playing with you!” said Alzugaray. “Give it to me now!”

But the clerk told him the register had no money, so he grabbed cigarettes, soda and sunglasses, then turned his attention to the gas pumps.

The store's surveillance video shows him stealing a parked Hyundai Santa Fe as a woman jumps from the passenger seat and runs to the convenience store.

She and the driver of the car, who was in the convenience store when the car was stolen, watch as their vehicle is driven away by Alzugaray.

At that point, according to investigators, the thief drove to Miami Beach, where he allegedly held up a Shell gas station on 5th Street and a nearby Marathon gas station before going to Club Madonna and stealing its tip jar.

He then set off for Cutler Bay in the stolen Hyundai. That's when FHP soldiers noticed him and tried to stop him.

But the criminal thief wasn't so easily caught and began leading police on a chase through Cutler Bay.

Officers attempted two PIT maneuvers to stop the car, but Alzugaray did not stop.

He was chased onto Belgrade Road, where he gave up and jumped out of the car.

But his time was up and the soldiers quickly caught up with him.

A video shows police officers shouting at Alzugaray to raise his hands.

“Let me see your hands!” Come out with your hands up!” said soldiers.

The capture of Alzugaray by FHP soldiers was captured in its entirety on camera.

“Hands up!” shouted the soldier.

“Come out, hands up!”

Alzugaray had no choice but to follow the soldier's orders.

“Get on the ground!” a soldier shouted.

“Is there anyone else in the car?” a police officer said as they searched his vehicle.

The 24-year-old was caught, handcuffed and taken to the Miami-Dade County Jail.

The soldiers said they also took an Alzugaray 9mm gun.

He remains behind bars and faces charges of armed robbery, carjacking and several other crimes.
