Death investigation underway after man found stabbed and attacked by dogs in San Bernardino

Investigators with the San Bernardino Police Department are investigating a death in San Bernardino over the weekend in which the victim was stabbed and mauled by multiple dogs.

According to a police statement, they were called to the 900 block of E. Highland Avenue around 5:20 p.m. Sunday after requesting assistance from the San Bernardino County Fire Department.

When officers arrived at Perris Hill Park, they found a homeless man living at a encampment in the area suffering from suspected stab wounds and dog bites.

Paramedics took the man to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His exact cause of death is not yet known.

According to officials, ten dogs were arrested at the scene. It is unclear how many were involved in the abuse.
