What is the difference between the popular vote and the election in the United States?

(CNN Español) – In order for the electoral process to be effective, it must function like the electoral system in the United States, in that it is a popular vote and an electoral vote. This system not only determines the election of the president, but also the participation of citizens in the outcome of the election.

Many people confuse the popular vote with the electoral vote. A candidate could enter the popular vote and could fail at the polls because he stands in the way of the president. The key difference is that the popular vote is cast by citizens, as the election is determined by the institutional system. The presidential candidate is determined during the election.

According to the official office of the Gobierno el Collegio Electoral, it was a fiscal matter, but following a procedure in which various stages were completed. First there is the election of voters. Today, voters returned to cast their votes for president and vice president. And finally, Congress agreed with the voters.

The reasons for this are that the constitutional judges design this system differently. First: I am concerned with the interests of the voters and have not given the voters any information. I don't wonder how the stadiums implement their elections and how the stadiums that are most likely to appeal to the president view the College Electoral as a compromise.

There is a number of electors equal to members of Congress, including the Senate House. This means that the total number of voters, including the three voters from the city of Washington, reached 538 voters.

It is likely that more than 150 million people voted to appoint the president on the day of the previous election. However, there were 538 voters who were elected president in a process that was extended in December and January.

Once voters cast their vote, a list of voters is actually selected from among the candidates, making the vote more popular each year.

The voters cast their votes in the capital on December 17 for the election of the president and vice president. This reunification was also linked to the Electoral College and is obliged as the framers of the Constitution.

These elections were made on January 6, 2025, before the election of the new Congress in the Chamber of Deputies.

The new president will take over the cargo on January 20, 2025.

The electoral system assigned a representative to each member of the House of Representatives (435) and the Senate (100), along with three electors for the Distrito de Columbia, the city of Washington.

On the other hand, all states received a minimum of three electors. In California last year there were 53 representatives and two senators, a total of 55 electoral votes. In contrast, Texas – its Republican lean – counted 38 electoral votes, with 36 congressmen and two senators.

Asimismo, there are already states – Alaska, Delaware, Montana, Dakota del Norte, Vermont and Wyoming – that after their last election have only a single representative and a minimum of three electoral votes. The Distrito de Columbia can also be three. In transition, residents of Puerto Rico and other territories will not have access to the polls but will be able to participate in the presidential primaries.

270 votes are required to elect the mayor in the Colegio Electoral. The total number of voters, the Suma 538, can only be changed if it is available to most legislators or conveys an unconstitutionality. However, the number of electors represented in each state could be changed each year by the censorship change.

The redistribution of projects in the camera occurs after switching to the camera. Alguno's stadiums could leave Asia, but they could not be represented in Congress. This topic was the subject of an intensive debate at the EE.UU headquarters. I'm also thinking about an assignment about the city, as I was worried about the level of precision of the content and the representation of the stadiums with a large immigrant and future election after the 2020 census.

I am sure that I have chosen the eventuality that the candidates have to make a mayoral election and that the election took place during the election campaign.

There is a delegation of lawmakers who want to vote to choose between the three main election candidates. On September 12, with no mayor in place, the vice president was named president. When it was presented to the Vice President, only the Senators selected this charge. La 20ª Enmienda changed the maximum position limit until January 20th. The mayors of states except Maine and Nebraska have all voted favorites in that state.
