The asymmetrical camera design of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is leaky

Today we meet them Xiaomi 15 Ultranow reveals its asymmetrical main camera design. It's expected for 2025 but has already been leaked and we'll take a look at the camera section first.

Before you get too excited, note that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra won't launch until early 2025. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro are launching in just a few days (or even hours), making them the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The 15 Ultra features a circular camera module with sensors arranged in a unique, inverted “L” arrangement – an asymmetry that might bother people with OCD. The setup consists of two flash modules at the top, a Leica logo and a periscope telephoto camera at the top position.

This flagship has a total of four cameras, most notably a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 4.3x optical zoom and an F/2.6 aperture, powered by a Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor. The main camera uses a 50 megapixel Sony sensor as well as a 50 MP ultra wide angle and a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. There is a 32MP selfie camera on the front.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also expected to feature a 6.7-inch 2K LTPO display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Power comes from a huge 6000mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. It runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS, based on Android 15. Expect some exclusive Leica-inspired camera features including new filters, LOG and LUT shooting modes, and AI improvements.

This is definitely a device that camera enthusiasts shouldn't miss out on.
