Auburn Basketball's 2024-25 Schedule

Auburn basketball returns to action this week, and if you're looking for the 2024-25 schedule, you've come to the right place.

The No. 11 seed Auburn Tigers won the SEC Tournament last year but were eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. To prevent a similar fate this season, head coach Bruce Pearl has put together a schedule full of teams that will challenge the Tigers and prepare them for a matchup in the NCAA Tournament.

The Tigers will begin the season against 14 teams that are nationally ranked or receiving votes. In addition to its grueling SEC schedule, Auburn faces No. 4 Houston, No. 5 Duke, No. 6 Iowa State and No. 14 Purdue. Auburn also faces the possibility of facing No. 3 UConn and No. 10 North Carolina during its trip to the Maui Invitational this month.

Pearl says this season's schedule should provide Auburn with opportunities to prove its worth on the field.

“From our players’ perspective, I just think our players deserve the opportunity to play against the best and take on this big, big challenge. Adversity does not always build character, but adversity reveals character. We will experience some adversity. We will lose some non-conference games, perhaps more than we have in the past, just because of the strong schedule. How do we deal with this? How do we get back on our feet? What do we learn? And obviously it gets better as the season goes on. Then when you also look at the SEC-ACC matchup, the fact that Alabama and Auburn are both facing North Carolina and Duke, and a lot of responsibility in those two matchups because those are going to be two of the toughest games in that matchup, and so I will have the responsibility to try to maintain our goal even though I know the challenge of going to Duke.”
