The trial of a Jackson man accused of shooting two men in August is moving forward.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – The assault and weapons case against a Jackson, Missouri man is moving forward in Cape Girardeau District Court.

Jac'quez Jackson, 26, appeared at a preliminary hearing on Wednesday afternoon, November 6, where a judge transferred his case to District Court.

Jackson is charged with assault, two counts of armed criminal action and two other weapons offenses.

He is accused of shooting two men Aug. 19 in the 200 block of S. Pacific Street in Cape Girardeau.

Jackson remains in the Cape Girardeau Co. Jail without bail.
