Is the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight still on? What you should know

play

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are closing in on a fight that has captured the boxing world. The former heavyweight champion and the fighter-turned-YouTube creator are on track to step into the ring for a November fight on Netflix.

The fight, the main event of a seven-fight card put together by Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions, will take center stage at A&T Stadium, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.

It was uncertain whether the fight would take place and it had already been postponed once. Tyson trained for the originally scheduled July 20 date for this fight, only because a medical issue forced both parties to take a break. The event is headed in the right direction, however, as Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, a Netflix documentary, will follow the fight preparations and training in detail.

Fight fans will be happy to hear that Tyson has announced that he has overcome all medical issues and is ready to fight. Paul, meanwhile, improved his professional record to 10-1 and filled the summer fight schedule with his seventh win by knockout.

Here's everything you need to know about the Tyson vs. Paul fight on Netflix:

Is Mike Tyson still fighting Jake Paul?

All systems are in full swing for the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. While “Iron Mike” was once advised to limit his training following an ulcer flare-up in May, the former heavyweight champion is back on track to fight Paul.

Tyson reduced his time in the gym for a few weeks, but after a period of recovery (and possibly some experimental treatments that have raised anti-doping questions), the event is taking place again. The fighters agreed to postpone a scheduled July 20 fight date, with Paul using the free time on his calendar to score a six-round TKO victory over bareknuckle champion/MMA veteran Mike Perry.

When will the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul take place?

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will face off as the main event of a seven-fight fight card on Friday, November 15th. It's not clear exactly when the opening bell will ring for this eight-round fight, but the entire event stream begins at 8:00 p.m. ET.
