Two people have died in a crash on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Wantagh

According to state police, two vehicles were involved in a fatal crash that occurred around 11:35 p.m. Wednesday on the north side of Meadowbrook State Parkway, north of Bay Parkway, in Wantagh.

New York State Police confirm that two people died in the crash.

The northbound lanes of the parkway were closed in the area for several hours. They reopened around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

There is still no information about how the crash occurred.
