“Director's Cut” is coming to Xbox

Depending on who you ask, Death Stranding: Director's Cut is either the best game Hideo Kojima ever made or nothing more than a glorified walking simulator. I'm much further in the former camp, with Death Stranding being one of the most unique and interesting games in recent years. And wouldn't you know it, another random day of the week brings another random shadow cast across the Xbox family of consoles?

Death Stranding: Director's Cut is the best way to experience the game

Death Stranding: Director's Cut is the most feature-rich version of the aforementioned game, and a random shadow cast on a new console wasn't on my bingo card. With Microsoft promising to be more open to multiplatform hits, perhaps PlayStation will play along and bring the sequel to Xbox sooner than expected. Even if the Director's Cut The monster energy drinks that I found hilarious in the original have been eliminated, but the added extras make it quite appealing to pick up.

While I'm still firmly in the camp of Monster Energy winning out over Bridges Energy, everything else is a huge leap in quality. The additional gadgets that Sam has in his arsenal, along with the improved graphics and frame rate, ensure this Death Standing: Director's Cut something that belongs in the history books.

Death Stranding: Director's Cut is a very special experience. When it came out, it was a bit of an understatement. Who wants to play a game where you have to do things yourself and there's no one else around? Then the pandemic happened. People thought Kojima was once again a genius in the truest sense of the word when it came to predicting events of this nature, and the rest is history. Death Stranding is a game that everyone should play at least once. Lose yourself in it.

And the best part? It's $20… at least for the next two weeks or so. Thereafter, Death Stranding: Director's Cut jumps back to its normal price of $40. You can either download Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp CoComplete for the same amount or immerse yourself in one of the most unique and important stories told in recent years. I know which camp I'm going to and it's not the most charming one.
