“Police arrested two hotel workers accused of supplying the drugs and searched the home of a friend who was also detained,” said David Muir of the authorities ABC World News tonight on November 6th. The names of those arrested and how they knew the late singer have yet to be revealed to the public.

Payne died on October 16 at the age of 31 after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Two weeks ago, the luxury Argentine hotel where Payne died was raided by police and a number of items were reportedly taken, including hard drives and CCTV footage. An autopsy report found that Payne died from a variety of injuries, including internal and external bleeding, caused by the fall. Additionally, investigators reportedly found a number of illegal substances in his system at the time of his death, including a recreational drug called “pink cocaine,” a mixture of substances that often includes ketamine in combination with MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine, opioids and/or psychoactive substances .

On November 7, the singer's body was returned to his family for his remains to be transported to his home country of Great Britain for burial.
