Marc-Andre Fleury will make at least one final start in San Jose against the Sharks

Future Hall of Fame goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury will start for the Minnesota Wild when they visit the San Jose Sharks in what could be his final appearance in San Jose.

The three-time Stanley Cup champion plans to retire after his 21st season in the NHL. He has played 27 games against the Sharks in his career. Fleury had incredible success against San Jose with an 18-5-4 record, a .939 save percentage and a 1.88 GAA.

Fleury was drafted first overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2003 and his personality quickly made him a fan favorite. His legendary pranks and off-ice tricks made him a lovable character no matter which team a fan was rooting for.

He finally joined the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017 and became the face of the franchise. Fleury's regular season success against the Sharks will always be surpassed by the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoff series. Fleury was the goalie in the Golden Knights' crease as the Sharks came back from a 3-1 series deficit and a 3-0 deficit in the seventh game.

The Sharks are scheduled to host the Wild on Jan. 11, which could be the last time Fleury could play at the SAP Center. He gets at least one more hit with the Wild tonight.
